Thinking of all the wonderful Fathers, Dads, Pops and special men in our lives who have helped raise and shape us.
We appreciate too, that this is a difficult day for many - for those who have lost their Dads, never knew or had relationships with their Dads and for those who have struggled to become Dads. We also remember Dads who have lost their children. š
We do thank God for Dads and for his loving example. We thank God that those who believe and trust in him, can call him 'Our Father'
To celebrate Father's day this year here are a few Bible verses that mention them.
Psalm 103 v 13: As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Matthew 6:8: Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Luke 15:20: So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
Ephesians 5:1-2: Follow Godās example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Joshua 24:15: But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4: Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
